If you have MacKeeper installed on your computer, and you’ve turned on its “Real-time protection”, you may find that Poker Copilot won’t start up without crashing. For now the only work-around I can offer is to turn off MacKeeper’s “Real-time protection”.
Please do let me know via email (steve@pokercopilot.com) if this problem affects you.
Thanks to loyal Poker Copilot customer Peter for tracking down and reporting this problem.
It seems that recently PokerStars made a slight change to the Playing History Audit in CSV format. If you use Poker Copilot’s “Add PokerStars Tournament Audit…” feature to get your add-ons and rebuys added, then this change will affect you.
It should work with all forms of hold’em, all table sizes, and on normal, speed, and jackpot tables. Auto-hand history detection is working. The HUD is working.
Any feedback is welcome. Please report problems to me via email: steve@pokercopilot.com
some users couldn’t run Poker Copilot 2.97 and I didn’t know why
multi-tablers were reporting significant lag problems that weren’t there until recently
Trying to solve both problems at once is awkward. While finding and fixing the problems, I was also getting an overflowing inbox which I needed to keep up with. But with the help from some patient, persistent, loyal Poker Copilot customers, who tried test builds and sent me the feedback I needed I got there. Thanks all who assisted.
So yesterday’s informal update will become the official 2.98 today.
2.98…next is 2.99…then I think I’m going to tick the version number over the 3. There’s no significant changes planned, but if you compare the first release of version 2, from July 2009, to version today’s 2.98, you’ll notice that there has been a huge amount of improvements and additions.
Thanks to the people who sent me helpful logs and console error messages overnight. I woke up to an inbox full of the information I needed.
So it seems the people who couldn’t start Poker Copilot 2.97 were all using Mac OS X 10.5. I believe I’ve located and fixed the problem. Here is a link to download a fixed version: http://pokercopilot.com/downloads/pokercopilot2.98_rc3.dmg
I’m not going to make this the official version until I’m sure it solves the problem, so please post in the comments if it works for you.
a) Open Terminal b) Type cd /Applications/Poker\ Copilot\ 2.app/Contents/MacOS/ and press enter c) Type ./Poker\ Copilot\ 2 and press enter d) When Poker Copilot crashes there will be some error messages dumped to the terminal. Copy and paste that into an email and send it to me at steve@pokercopilot.com
Some Poker Copilot users can’t get the latest update to run. Frustratingly, I can’t reproduce this. I don’t have enough information to solve it yet.
If you are having this problem, you can help. Please go to this topic in our discussion forum and contribute as you best can. I’ve asked for some specific info there which will help me.
Improved lag problems that were occurring after a couple of hours of multi-tabling. Note: To get the full benefit of this improvement, you’ll need to reset your database.
Improved PokerStars support when you have multiple versions of PokerStars (e.g. PokerStars.fr, PokerStars.it)
What’s fixed:
Fixed broken Merge Network parser when handling uncalled all-in bets (a problem introduced in the last update)
Fixed broken charting by day that was causing crashes since the last update
