Poker Copilot Russian Translation Updated

One of the things I wanted to get into order before releasing Poker Copilot 3 is the Russian translation. I have a small but steady stream of Russian customers and I suspect that with some concerted effort I can increase the importance of the Russian-speaking world to my sales.

The Russian translation of Poker Copilot is now complete:

You can download an unofficial update of Poker Copilot now with the following recent improvements:

  • Russian translation
  • Other translations updated
  • Optionally ignore old hand history files
  • 2+2 forums hand formatter
  • Rake info in the Advanced Dashboard
  • Some bugs fixed in Ongame Network support
  • Improvement in the HUD popup panel appearance
  • Extra row of HUD stats

Here is the download: http://pokercopilot.com/downloads/pokercopilot2.102_rc15.dmg

Or you can wait a couple of days at the most for the official release of Poker Copilot 3.

Coming in the Next Update: Ignore Old Hand History Files

Occasionally a Poker Copilot customer asks, “I want to stay afresh with my Poker Copilot database. How do I get rid of all old data?” Until now the answer has been quite convoluted: Find and delete all old hand history files, then reset your Poker Copilot database.

However the next update will have a better, less destructive solution. You’ll be able to tell Poker Copilot to ignore any hand history files older than a particular date:

You’ll still need to reset your database to get rid of existing data, but you can safely keep the old hand history files in case you change your mind later and want to see the older data.

From the "It’s About Time, Too" Department

The next Poker Copilot update will – finally – show you how much rake you’ve paid. Here’s a screenshot of the Advanced Dashboard:

This is also available in the custom charts:

Poker Copilot Business Cards

Finally, after 3 years and more of Poker Copilot, I got myself some Poker Copilot business cards:

I created these using Moo.

Playing on Entraction Network?

Loyal Poker Copilot user Jarek asks whether I’ll add Entraction Network support to Poker Copilot. Are you playing on an Entraction Network room, such as 24h? If so, let me know in the comments that you would like to see Poker Copilot work with the Entraction Network.

One Person with Two Accounts Playing on Ongame?

I suspect a person can create an account with one Ongame partner, create a second account with another Ongame partner, and play on both accounts at the same table at the same time. I’m not certain as I didn’t want to test this and get my accounts banned.

In trying to understand how the different Ongame Network clients prevent hand history files from interfering with each other, I played on two Ongame partners at once: bwin and Betfair. I signed in as notasteve on bwin, and as stevoski222 on Betfair.

I went to the play tables, and played on two different tables, one per account. However I noticed that I could see the same tables, and – potentially – play at the same table with two different user accounts.

Same IP address, same computer, same tables, different Ongame partners, different accounts. I think Ongame ought to fix this quickly.

Small Tweaks in Poker Copilot Preferences

Showing Hand History Folders in Finder

In Mac OS X Lion, Finder doesn’t show the “Library” folder anymore(although there are several ways to access it). Some online poker rooms supported by Poker Copilot store their hand history files within Library, so to help you get to these files, I’ve added “Show in Finder” to Poker Copilot’s list of hand history folders:

This will force the folder to appear in Finder.

Incomplete Language Packs

Some of Poker Copilot’s translations are quite incomplete. I think it may be jarring for some people to use half-translated software. So I’ve categorised several of the translation packs as “incomplete”. They are currently Spanish (Spain), Russian, Polish. Portuguese (Portugal), and Portuguese (Brazil). From the next update, Poker Copilot won’t use any of these translations until I mark them as complete. However you can override this:

This is a temporary preference, which I’ll remove once all the translations are complete enough.
