…an interesting alternative to the dominant Poker Tracker 4 and Hold’em Manager 2. Originally developed only for Mac, Poker Copilot is naturally less known than the popular PC-centric PT4 and HM2. Today all 3 programs support both platforms, but the “quick and light” approach typical for Apple’s products is still recognizable in Poker Copilot.
In terms of features, Poker Copilot is quite versatile and can give the other two giants a run for their money. It has all the core features of a modern poker tracker – from the rich statistics and data visualization, to the customization options for the HUD.
The reviewer concludes that “the main feature of Poker Copilot is simplicity” and that “Poker Copilot is overall a better deal”.
PokerZebra is similar to Poker Stove, a popular, free poker odds calculator for Windows.
Like PokerStove, PokerZebra handles preflop, flop, turn, and river calculations, it handles up to 10 players, and it lets you calculate odds against a random hand, a specific hand, or a range of hands.
We received a nice support ticket today. After describing a problem, the customer ended with this great note:
I am very very happy with Poker Copilot. Your database is very very quick, imports are a breeze, the HUD works flawless, your software is the only one versus Poker Tracker and Xeester that can manage duplicates the best, and creates no mistakes during imports.
Poker Copilot finds and auto adds history folders by itself, imports, but without creating a mess in the database. The other trackers I tested could even hardly compete.
The use of the software is the easiest ever, the structure you have chosen is without comparison.
It’s not all praise:
The HUD could have a little update, as well as the replayer, all other software is slightly better in this regard.
We’re asking for his feedback on what’s missing from our HUD and replayer that our competitors have.

Poker Copilot 6 adds some great improvements to the filter bar.
Video Transcript:
In Poker Copilot 6 we made several improvements to the filtering system. It is easier than ever to find the right hands for review.
The first improvement: you can customise which filters appear.
Just click on this drop-down menu and here you can select which filters you want to be available.
So we can add “Poker Network”, and let’s add “Statistics”. “Starred Hands” interests us. Perhaps you always play “No Limit Hold’em” and don’t need the “Game Type” filter. Remove that.
Notice the filter bar has immediately adjusted to show these filtering options.
The second improvement: most filters are now multiple-select.
I can show the hands that were 5-max or 6-max. I can show hands where I was in the small blind, or the big blind, or on the button.
Notice that as I add and remove positions, the data onscreen changes immediately.
The third improvement: We’ve made it possible to save your favourite filters.
Just click on this “Save Filter” link. A name is suggested for us. So let’s use that.
As soon as we saved, a new drop-down appeared on the filter bar. From here you can select the filters you saved.
Let’s reset that filter. I’ll make another for Poker Stars… let’s go for 3-max. We can use this as a Spin & Go filter. So I’ll call it Spin & Go.
Now we have two saved filters in this drop-down.
With a single click, select a saved filter and immediately all the filters change and the data onscreen changes.
We believe this will be a popular improvement for hand reviews and will help you improve your poker game.
We’ve released our first update to Poker Copilot 6 today. Unfortunately we’ve now discovered that a bug sneaked into the initial release of Poker Copilot (version 6.00) that stops our auto-updating from working.
If you downloaded and installed Poker Copilot 6.00, you’ll get a notification today that a new update is available. But when you click “Update Now”, you’ll be told that you have the latest version.
How to get Poker Copilot 6.01
Go to our website home page and click “Download Now”. Install it as you would normally if you were installing new software.
This problem only exists in Poker Copilot 6.00. Once you’ve updated to version 6.01, the auto-updater will work in the future.
We’ve made some big changes to the HUD popup window in Poker Copilot 6. See the changes here:
To summarise:
adding 40 new statistics to Poker Copilot 6 meant the old popup window wasn’t good enough any more
you can pin the window open
you can change the text size
you can move and resize the window
there are quick links for jumping between sections
the window stays open when you click. It no longer auto-closes when you release the mouse button. To close the window, use the escape key, or the close button, or click anywhere outside of the window
Spin & Go tournaments on PokerStars are 3-player, short-stacked, hyper-turbo tournaments. Because all players are short-stacked, most of the decision making happens preflop. Because they are hyper-turbo and 3-max, you need to be aggressive. As there are only 3 players you’ve got plenty of room to display plenty of HUD statistics. I’d recommend these stats:
Blind Steal, Fold to Blind Steal (effectively, the button has a blind steal opportunity on every single hand!) You could just load up your HUD with every possible blind steal stat (fold to blind steal, raise blind steal, call blind steal, blind steal from button, blind steal from small blind) and you’ll already have a ton of information that would converge to accuracy quite quickly.
Three-bet and fold to three-bet. I wouldn’t care too much about four-bet stats, because a four-bet is going to be an all-in raise most times.
Postflop, I’d use continuation bet, and fold to continuation bet. “Donk Bet Out of Position” and “Fold to Donk Bet Out of Position” could be useful for distinguishing between donks and maniacs. Donks would have a high Donk Bet Out of Position stats.
Simple, but effective I think. You can add continuation bet by street, but I don’t think Spin & Go’s offer the opportunity to use such detailed stats effectively.
Here’s what it looks like in Poker Copilot 6’s HUD Layouts window:
I bought Poker Copilot from the Winamax store. Do I get a free upgrade?
Yes, as long as you bought it on or after 2nd October 2016. Purchases through the Winamax store get treated exactly the same as purchases directly from us.
What if I don’t want to upgrade?
No problem. Poker Copilot 5 will continue to be supported for the foreseeable future. Although you really should consider upgrading – Poker Copilot 6 will help improve your poker game.
