I played some live poker recently, and it revealed two things. One: I'm not very good at live poker. Two: I've become dependent on Poker Copilot's HUD. When there's a tough call to be made, I check my opponent's stats. Does he attempt to steal the blind often? If so, I'll call him with my AT. Does my opponent have a low Post-flop Aggresion Frequency? If so, then I'll fold my outside straight draw to his post-flop raise.
In live poker, there's no transparent box hanging over a player's head. I wonder if I could make a Poker Copilot 3D...

About This Blog
In May 2008 I started working on Poker Copilot, initially as a product to help me with my own poker playing. Soon I joined a "30-day Challenge", where the participants each aimed to launch a software product in 30 days. As a result of this challenge, Poker Copilot version 1.0 was launched in July 2008.
This blog tracks the ongoing development of Poker Copilot. Who would find this blog interesting? People interested in 1-person software development, in Poker, or in both.

Same for me... Really dependent!
Interpretation of opponent's data is key.
A great stuff would be to analyze data and put up a profile on a player's head, or color code some data in the HUD.
I have to agree. Poker Copilot is making my life so much easier that I haven't gone to the local Indian casino to play since you got the on-table HUD working properly. Thanks again!
You don't need to be dependent on the copilot though. In real life you have tells which are just about good us. Body language, how they call, how they play with their chips are all great clues.
