Spyros (amongst others) asked via email:
I cannot find available a windows version of Poker Copilot. Could you please let me know if there is one. If there is not, why?I created Poker Copilot for Mac OS X because no such Mac product was available. But I get this question often enough for me to contemplate whether a Windows version would be feasible, practical, and worthwhile.
Let's see...
- the Windows market has two very entrenched major players, but...Poker Copilot is easier to install and use than either of them.
- a Windows version would stretch my development time, but...most of my code is in Java, which is easy to transfer from Mac OS X to Windows.

Do one thing, do it very well, then move on. Once you feel that the OS X version is feature complete and stable, then you can branch out to Windows. While the revenue opportunity is huge, the burden of support could crush you. Just my opinion. Obviously you're the only one that can judge what's best. Good luck.
My first thought was: shit, just as we have someone focused on a Mac-specific product, a Windows version will dilute the developer's attention.
Copilot is improving every day, and it has a few more steps before it can hang with PT and HEM. Use your enthusiastic userbase to get Copilot on par with those two, maybe even with some points of differentiation, then consider porting it over.
Well my friend, if u want to do a windows version, do it ;)
BUT, dont forget, the mac os version its still for extreme basic players, at today doesnt have a good HUD, just have very basic stats, dont know if the software work in powerpc....its still a little program.
Pls complete the HUD and add MUCH more advanced stats before think on another platform

It would be very very very hard to overthrow the hold that HEM/PT3 have on the market, especially HEM, i love pokercopilot because its macox native, but sorry to say HEM blows it away in almost every department. But I will still just use pokercopilot cause i hate windows. ;)
