I keep tightening up the new HUD based on feedback, testing, and observation. Here's the latest preview version (1.45).
This introduces Full Tilt matrix support, some improvements to PokerStars tournament results importing, some small performance and stability enhancements, and a database statistics window.
Best of all, though, is an indicator of how reliable HUD stats for a player are. When you play against player X for the first time, the HUD shows stats in a pale gray. As player X plays more, the stats gradually brighten until you've reached 25 hands. Then the stats switch from gray/white to yellow. I tried this out in a tournament last night and found it effective.

About This Blog
In May 2008 I started working on Poker Copilot, initially as a product to help me with my own poker playing. Soon I joined a "30-day Challenge", where the participants each aimed to launch a software product in 30 days. As a result of this challenge, Poker Copilot version 1.0 was launched in July 2008.
This blog tracks the ongoing development of Poker Copilot. Who would find this blog interesting? People interested in 1-person software development, in Poker, or in both.

Great device. The 1.45 HUD version works on my Mac OS 10.5.6.
Thanks.
Maxes out my CPU (60-70%, but total CPU is 100% used) upon the start of the program; it reloads all my 72,000 hands every time. It takes 14 minutes before the program is usable and when the HUD finally shows up. (I timed it this time.)
The grey to yellow feature for 25 hands is awesome! I would actually suggest that this be a parameter that can be set by the user in preferences. (I actually prefer 50 hands for tournaments and more if limit poker.) Keep up the good work!

(I can't reach my home email while on holiday.)
I agree with Spyke, 50 or 100 hands at least to hit the magic yellow color.
My first post to you.
First, a big THANKS for an outstanding product in the Mac community.
Downloaded the new version with the new HUD. So far, good to have the stats on the table. I don't use the bars view anyhow. the only change that I can see that would be truly helpful would be to be able to have the stats stay in the same place on the table. Once focus returns to table after moving huds for better use (being able to see stack sizes, for example), they pop back to default location covering some stack sizes again. I generally 3-4 table and have the tables smallish on my 20" iMac. On a larger table, this may not be an issue, but for multi-tabling, it becomes intrusive.
Great product, and fantastic support, Steve. Wish I had your programming skills.
I second everything dazbog has said, thank you :)
Also, any chance you could put some c-bet stats on there? I think this would be incredibly useful, like a % someone c bets, and a % fold to c bet. Other than that I think this fills a much needed hole in the mac poker community, so I thank you :)
